Made some speed improvements!

I noticed the site has been quite slow lately and in investigating the matter I originally thought it was an issue with my database server. Turns out it was the weather module I had loaded. Sorry if anyone was using that but it was significantly impacting the front page load times. If anyone notices any speed issues, please post to this story!
